RFE is a company founded in 1972 as the representative of L3Harris radios in Spain, a relationship it maintains today as the country’s direct and exclusive distributor.

Since the early 1990s, RFE has been developing communications software to exploit and enhance the data transmission capabilities of radio systems, both from L3Harris and from other manufacturers.

Today, after more than three decades of developing communications software for tactical and military environments, RFE has consolidated TACNET, its own ecosystem of encrypted tactical solutions, which integrates network architecture, simulation, and tactical encryption (GESCOM VCS, GESCOM SIM, NEXO, and national and NATO encryption solutions). These developments are widely used by the Spanish Armed Forces, as well as in other countries, serving not only the defense sector but also State Security Forces and Corps and government agencies, within an ecosystem that integrates radio systems from any manufacturer.
