The FEINDEF Foundation, in support of research initiatives and the development of defense and security equipment and technologies, will celebrate the 2nd edition of the Defense and Security innovation Brokerage (DSiB) “FEINDEF Foundation Awards for Innovation”.
The FEINDEF Foundation supports research and development initiatives in defence and security equipment and technologies. The second edition of the Defence and Security innovation Brokerage (DSiB) “FEINDEF Foundation
Innovation Awards” will be held at FEINDEF 21. The ultimate aim of this DSiB is to promote innovation in Defence and Security, with particular emphasis on dual-use technologies, by bringing together industry, end users, academia and other research organizations, in a framework open to the exchange of ideas and technological information, supporting mutual knowledge and technology transfer from the public innovation organizations to the industrial fabric.
From all the finalist projects, 3 winners from the first block will be chosen, who will receive the following cash prizes:
First prize: € 3,000
Second prize: € 2,000
Third prize: € 1,000
From the finalist projects in the second block, a winner will be chosen who will receive the following prize:
• € 5,000 to finance the project; expenditure must be justified.

COMPETITION RULES
This DSiB competition invites both individuals and legal entities from the field of technology and innovation to submit projects or initiatives. The projects can be developed by public or private entrepreneurs or researchers who are attached to or part of an autonomous division (spin-off) of universities, public research organizations or start-ups where the projects are being carried out. Projects may also be developed independently, provided they meet the required parameters to be evaluated according to these Rules.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: WHEN AND HOW
The application process opens on 1 May 2021 and ends on 5 October 2021. Applications must be submitted through the Activities section of the FEINDEF 21 website https://www.feindef.com. All registration information, as well as the project submission document, must be in English.
Each project must appoint an individual to act as a representative and point of contact between the organizer and the rest of the team.
